WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. — The funeral for a teenage junior firefighter, killed last weekend in a car crash in Clarence, was held Saturday morning.
Dozens of fire trucks and firefighters escorted Alex Hemline’s casket to the Eastern Hills Wesleyan Church on Greiner Road. There was not a dry eye in the church as family and friends said their goodbyes to the fallen teenager.
Seventeen-year-old Hemline died after losing control of his Jeep and crashing into a tree along Kraus Road in Clarence. He worked with the Harris Hill Volunteer Fire Company for about a year and a half.
