MCDONALD, Pa. — A district judge dropped arson and other charges against two McDonald firefighters and a local businessman, saying Monday there was insufficient evidence to prove their actions put the public in serious danger.
The three were accused of allowing a house that contained asbestos to be used for a fire training exercise by the McDonald Volunteer Fire Department last year.
District Judge Jay Weller dismissed arson, conspiracy and risking a catastrophe charges against Mark Slack of 1212 Reissing Road, McDonald, and Dale Csonka, of 1009 Spring St., McDonald, following the nearly six-hour preliminary hearing Monday.
Full story: Weller also dismissed those charges against Thomas Krenn but held other charges.
