Md. firefighters battle church steeple fire

Baltimore County firefighters faced fire on two floors and the steeple of the Pikesville church

PIKESVILLE, Md. — Baltimore County firefighters extinguished a fire Monday morning at a church in Pikesville, the county’s fire department said on social media.

Crews responded to the fire on the first and second floors and the steeple of St. Paul Methodist Church just before 10 a.m. Monday, the fire department said. No injuries were reported in the fire at 503 Reisterstown Road.

Fire crews began to clear the scene just before noon, the fire department said. Investigators were on the scene to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
