9 hospitalized after hazmat spill on Fla. interstate

Hazmat crews responded to an oil leak after a bus crash and overturned, sending nine patients to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries

ORLANDO, Fla. — Nine people were hurt after a Lynx bus overturned on Interstate 4 in Orlando, the fire department said.

It happened about noon on westbound I-4 near Orange Blossom Trail.

Westbound I-4 was shut down at OBT for more than two hours but has since reopened.

A hazmat crew is cleaning up an oil leak and clearing debris.

The people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Four of the patients were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, three to Dr. Phillips Hospital and two to Millenia ER.

It’s not immediately clear how the crash occurred.
