TAMPA, Fla. — A firefighter died while on duty Sunday after a medical incident.
According to Hillsborough County Fire-Rescue, firefighter Iran D. Rivers’ cause of death has not yet been determined, but he did not die while working a fire call.
“The medical examiner has not determined the cause of death at this time,” HCFR spokesperson Nacole Revette said in a statement Sunday. “Please keep his family and friends in your prayers.”
Memorial and funeral plans for Rivers has not been announced, ABC Action News reported.
