SOUTH BERWICK, Maine — South Berwick Firefighter Jeffrey A. Pino, 39, died suddenly in his home on Monday due to a medical issue.
“He was a big guy with a big heart,” said South Berwick Fire Chief George Gorman on Thursday.
Pino was born in Charlestown, Mass., but eventually moved to the Seacoast, settling later in South Berwick, Maine. He served on the Eliot Fire Department then joined the South Berwick Fire Department in 2011. According to Gorman, Pino was always willing to help out around the station and kept active in the community, as he went often to town Little League games.
