BELMONT, N.C. — A 24-year-old firefighter from Wilkes County died Tuesday during a training session.
Fire officials say Richard Adam Miller died while participating in physical fitness training at Gaston County Fire Station 43. He was reportedly running on a treadmill when he collapsed.
Miller was rushed to Gaston Memorial Hospital where he later died.
