SANBORN, N.Y. — Long-serving volunteer firefighter Donald “Pete” Martin died Thursday following the department’s monthly mandatory training.
The 84-year-old Martin became in ill during training, was taken to his residence where he became unresponsive. The cause of his death has not been released.
Firefighter Martin was a member of the Sanborn Fire Company for 53 years.
