MOUNT CARMEL, Pa. — A Pennsylvania firefighter died December 4 after falling ill on a mutual aid call.
Fire Police Officer Gary Neidig Jr., of the Mount Carmel Volunteer Fire Department, became ill when shortly after clearing a motor vehicle accident scene with confinement and injuries.
Officer Neidig, 36, was transported to a hospital where he later died.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to his family to help cover funeral expenses in the care of the Mount Carmel Volunteer Fire Department, 137 West 4th Street, Mount Carmel, PA 17851.
