Wis. fire captain dies of heart attack

BIRCHWOOD, Wis. — A Wis. fire captain died from an apparent heart attack he suffered while responding to a rescue call on Friday.

Capt. John “Jack” Colbert, 60, a member of the Birchwood Fire Department since 1973, was responding to the firehouse for a drowning rescue call.

He remained there until he started feeling ill, when he went home and died there.
