Fire crews tackle house fire

A mysterious 1st alarm fire broke out Saturday around 5:45pm. San Diego City firefighters from fire station’s 12,17, and 26s doused the flames in under 10 minutes.

The flames reached up to 45 feet in the air. The ploom of smoke could be seen as far away as Dictionary Hill, located in Spring Valley.

Firefighters from San Diego City Fire Department had an extremely quick response to the fire located at 58th Street, Duluth Street.

San Diego City Fire Battalion 6 stated that the fire could have been an electrical short, or possibly arson.

The fire is now under investigation by the Arson Division of San Diego Fire Life & Safety.

The owner of the home was not home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries reported at this incident.
