On April 20, a fire ignited in an occupied 2 ½-story wood-frame house in Seymour, Conn. At approximately 0240 HRS, members of Seymour’s Great Hill and Citizen’s Fire Companies were dispatched to a working structure at 14 Old Ansonia Road. The fire apparently started in a faulty electrical switch on an overhead bedroom fan. The fire on the second floor quickly spread into the attic via the balloon frame.
