photographer Adam Alberti On Feb. 28, a fire tore through seven buildings on West Side and Fairmount avenues in Jersey City, N.J. Firefighters were called to the scene at 0206 HRS, and by 0223 HRS, the fire was at four alarms. Bitter cold temperatures hindered firefighting efforts, but the blaze was under control by 0527 HRS. Three Jersey City firefighters sustained injuries, and 36 residents were left homeless.
