BOSTON — Two Boston firefighters suffered burns while battling a blaze at a Dorchester triple-decker Monday morning, according to fire officials.

The heavy 2-alarm fire at 28 Fifield St. also displaced 17 residents, including three children. Damages at the property are estimated to be between $450,000 and $500,000.

Firefighters at around 10:30 a.m. responded to the blaze on all three floors of the occupied three-family building.

“All companies have been ordered off the rear porches the fire has burned through them,” Boston Fire tweeted about 20 minutes later.

The fire was knocked down by about 11 a.m.

The incident commander deployed the fire department’s drone to see the hot spots in the building by using thermal imaging. Two detail companies remained on scene to monitor any hot spots.
