LOS ANGELES — A Los Angeles firefighter has gone missing during a trip to Mexico.
Los Angeles Firefighter Francisco Aguilar, a 20-year fire service veteran, was last heard from on Friday after arriving at his condo in Rosarito, Mexico, according to CBS Los Angeles.
Family members said Aguilar usually keeps regular contact with them while spending time in Mexico but that their calls to him have gone unanswered since Friday morning.
Aguilar's brother traveled to Mexico to look for him and said he found his condo in a state of disarray, as though it had been ransacked, and Aguilar's car was not at the property.
The FBI is assisting Mexican authorities in searching for the firefighter.
