LAKE STATION, Ind. — A firefighter died Thursday night after collapsing at home.
Firefighter Close Calls reported that Lake Station Fire Department firefighter and training officer David Jatczsk was responding to a call when car problems caused him to leave his vehicle and run to the firehouse.
After the call, he was at home watching TV when he collapsed on the floor. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.
