N.J. firefighter dies after responding to call

KINNELON, N.J. — The Kinnelon Volunteer Fire Company has announced the line-of-duty death of one of its firefighters on Nov. 25.

The department posted on Facebook about the death of Lieutenant Justin Bower but did not provide any details, nj.com reported.

The website Firefighter Close Calls posted that Bower had responded to a call and returned home. His wife found him unresponsive.

Bower was 30 years old and had been a member of the department for approximately five years.

Bower was also the owner of Taste of Reality Deli & Catering, a restaurant in Kinnelon well known for participating in community events, donating food, and supporting the local police department.
