MONTCLAIR, N.J. — Fire Captain Vincent J. Intiso died last week in the line of duty from COVID-19.

Intiso, 57, died on July 8 after serving with the East Orange Fire Department for 34 years.

A funeral procession for Intiso closed multiple streets in the city as mourners gathered to honor his memory, Montclair Local reported.

Remembered as a family man, Intiso was described as “the heart of the firehouse,” in his obituary.

First responders are assembling outside of Immaculate to honor Intiso and his 34 years of service with the East Orange fire department.
