MONTCLAIR, N.J. — Fire Captain Vincent J. Intiso died last week in the line of duty from COVID-19.

Intiso, 57, died on July 8 after serving with the East Orange Fire Department for 34 years.

A funeral procession for Intiso closed multiple streets in the city as mourners gathered to honor his memory, Montclair Local reported.

Remembered as a family man, Intiso was described as “the heart of the firehouse,” in his obituary.
