FORT DODGE, Iowa — Fort Dodge firefighters battled a fire at the Westridge Townhomes after arriving to find flames showing from a two-story residential building on Sept. 16.
The fire started in a first-floor end unit and spread into the floor system between the first and second stories. Crews advanced a handline, searched the building and brought the main body of fire under control before conducting overhaul.
Are we training enough — and on the right skills?
