ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. — Anne Arundel County Fire Department crews took part in a large regional search and rescue training exercise involving multiple fire departments across Maryland.

The 12-hour exercise covered a 30-mile area and included several rescue scenarios designed to test coordinated emergency response.

Anne Arundel County crews participated in scenarios involving a person trapped in a vehicle in moving swift water and multiple victims trapped in vehicles inside a collapsed parking garage.

Officials said the exercise provided valuable training and strengthened teamwork among responding agencies.
