Firefighters run down, catch school break-in suspect

Crews were called to the school after an alarm sounded; they caught the man while running in full gear

ST. LOUIS — A break-in suspect was caught by firefighters after an alarm at a high school Wednesday.

KMOV reported that the suspect broke into St. Mary’s (Mo.) High School and triggered the alarm around 11 a.m. When firefighters arrived at the school, they saw the man running on foot. They began to chase him in full gear and eventually captured him.

The suspect told authorities he was at the school helping the custodian.

No other information about the incident has been released.
