JACKSON, Miss. — One more minute and Jackson firefighter Richard Taylor would have died.
He lay on his stomach in 600-degree heat. The flames from the burning south Jackson church produced thick smoke that impaired his vision.
As his body shut down, all Taylor could do was yell for help.
