  • Jared Renshaw has over 20 years of experience in the fire service. He started his fire service career with the Fairview Volunteer Fire Department, in South Fayette Township, Pennsylvania. He has worked for career departments in South Carolina and California, and since 2015 has been serving as the fire commissioner with the Western Berks Fire Department in Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania. Renshaw has a bachelor’s degree in fire service administration and is a designated Chief Fire Officer through the Center for Public Safety Excellence. He also serves as a peer reviewer for the CPSE, and as a member of the Board of Directors for the Pennsylvania Fire and Emergency Services Institute.

  • Chantal Botting is the deputy fire chief for Fort Lauderdale (Florida) Fire Rescue. Botting has been with the department for 25 years, having served in every rank within operations as well as various administration bureaus, including EMS, Training and Support Services. She has a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership and a master’s degree in executive management.   • Division Chief Martha Ellis has been a public servant since 1993 and now serves as the executive director for the Public Safety Broadband Technology Association. She started her career as a hotshot firefighter/EMT with the National Forest Service, then moved into her 22-year career as a structural firefighter with the Salt Lake City Fire Department. Her career experience includes operations, training, ARFF and fire prevention, as well as serving as the Salt Lake City fire marshal for over 5 years. She concluded her career as the division chief over the Logistics, Emergency Management, and the Fire Intelligence Liaison programs for Salt Lake City. Chief Ellis has an associate’s degree in fire science, a master’s degree in homeland security from the Naval Postgraduate School, a master’s degree in legal studies from the University of Utah Law School, and a graduate certificate in conflict resolution and mediation. She is a graduate of the Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Senior Executives in State and Local Government Leadership Program.

  • Lori Stone is a senior public safety advisor for the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet Authority). She is responsible for outreach and consultation with local public safety agencies. She most recently served as Maryland’s single point of contact for the FirstNet Authority. In this role, she was responsible for the development and implementation of the outreach and state consultation strategy to engage public safety in FirstNet planning efforts.

    Lori also spent several years working on the legal, operational, and planning requirements for the deployment of Maryland FiRST, the statewide 700 MHz public safety radio communications system. She also served as the grant manager for two public safety communications federal grant programs.

    Lori has worked as a National Capital Region Planner at the Maryland Emergency Management Agency; developed public education and media campaigns for emergency preparedness; and drafted and exercised Continuity of Operations Plans for higher education institutions, hospitals, and non-profit organizations.

    She has a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Towson University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law.

  • Timothy Kelly began his fire service career in 1987 as a firefighter for the Los Angeles City Fire Department (LAFD). He promoted through the ranks of firefighter, engineer, captain I, captain II and retired as a battalion chief with 34 years of service. With decades of command experience, Kelly was appointed as the executive officer to the chief deputy of emergency operations, assisting the chief in leading the day-to-day fire and emergency medical services for the City of Los Angeles. Kelly represented the LAFD on the California FIRESCOPE Task Force Committee and led the group as chairperson for two consecutive terms. Kelly is a qualified incident commander, strike team leader, and served on LAFD’s Incident Management Team in the position of deputy operations. He also served as a primary instructor for the LAFD’s Chief Executive Officer Mentorship program and Company Officer Responsibilities and Expectations training. He has lectured at the LAFD Leadership Academy and regionally on standards of command, mayday procedures, operational risk management and emergency incident decision making. Kelly holds a bachelor’s degree in emergency services management from Union Institute and University and is a graduate from the West Point Leadership Academy at the Los Angeles Police Department.

  • Joe Bongiorno is the deputy chief of fire prevention for the Meridian (Idaho) Fire Department, which he first joined as a volunteer in 1999. He earned his EMT Basic and Firefighter I certification within the first year and was hired full-time as a firefighter in 2003. He rose to the rank of captain and in 2014 became a captain of fire inspection. In 2017, Bongiorno accepted the position of deputy chief of fire prevention. Bongiorno has a bachelor’s degree in fire administration, holds certifications as a certified fire investigator from the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI) and is a certified fire and explosion investigator (CFEI) with the National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI). Statter spent four decades in broadcasting, including 25-years as a reporter with WUSA-TV in Washington, D.C.

Griffin is a certified Chief Fire Officer and Chief Training Officer with the Center for Public Safety Excellence and an IFSAC/Pro Board-certified Fire Officer IV. Additionally, he is a graduate of the Executive Fire Officer program from the National Fire Academy; Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Executive Education program: Senior Executives in State and Local Government; the Psychology of Leadership program at Cornell University’s Samuel Curtis Johnson College of Business; and Yale University’s School of Management Values Based Leadership program.
