CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A North Carolina fire apparatus was struck by bullets during a shooting on Monday morning.

The Charlotte Fire Department truck was among three vehicles that were hit when someone opened fire near a gas station, according to WCNC.

No fire personnel were injured in the shooting. One civilian in another vehicle was struck and transported to the hospital but is expected to survive.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police say they believe the shooting was not random, but that the fire apparatus was not the intended target.

Police have not arrested a suspect in the shooting and asked anyone with information about the incident to call 911 or contact Crime Stoppers.
