STATESBORO, Ga. — The Statesboro Fire Department will begin offering virtual appointments for certain types of inspections.
According to a Facebook post by the department, the program’s goal is to make inspections easier and more convenient for business owners and employees. The program will focus mainly on re-inspections, which account for about 25% of the fire department’s inspections each year.
The program is voluntary.
“As with any organization or business, we are always looking for ways to improve the services we deliver to the community,” said Fire Chief Tim Grams. “Our hope is that the Virtual Fire Inspection Program will allow our fire inspectors to be more effective and efficient in their duties while also offering a more convenient option for the business owners.”
