SALISBURY, N.C. — One firefighter was injured when a volunteer fire department in Rowan County erupted in flames early Monday.
Officials say a firefighter pulled from the building after the roof fell in wasn’t seriously hurt.
The fire started at Liberty Volunteer Fire Department near High Rock Lake around 4:30 am. Officials are trying to determine the cause of the fire.
About 75 volunteer firefighters work at the station.
