ARLINGTON, Va. — The snow is supposed to halt things. When the flakes fall, we’re trained to buy groceries and stay in the house.
No one could blame you for doing that last weekend. After record-setting cold, the D.C. region was hit with blankets of snow, sleet and freezing rain.
Tell that to a Marine, who was slated to be deployed on Sunday and wanted to get married before he left town. According to the Washington Post, the pipes froze at the Virginia venue he and his fiancee booked for Saturday night. His chaplain canceled due to the snow.
