NEW YORK — To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, Bronx News 12 reported, the FDNY Uniformed Officers Association will sell a special coin featuring the Twin Towers, the Pentagon and the Shanksville Pennsylvania field.

These are the sites where nearly 3,000 Americans died. More than 300 New York City firefighters were killed in the attacks.

Coin sales will benefit the Bravest Scholarship, a fund that provides college scholarships to the children of firefighters and officers who were active members when they died. More than 400 children have received more than $3.25 million in scholarships through the fund.
