LAS VEGAS — Firefighters rescued a 100-pound pit bull from a house fire Wednesday and used an oxygen mask to revive the unconscious animal, according to the Henderson Fire Department.
The fire was reported about 11 a.m. in the 1000 block of Timberline Court, near Lake Mead Parkway and Warm Springs Road, officials said.
When firefighters arrived, heavy smoke and flames were coming from a window, officials said. The dog was found inside, near the front door, officials said.
The residents, two adults and a child, were not home.
The cause of the fire, which did an estimated $90,000 in damage, is believed to be electrical in nature, officials said. The blaze was confined to two bedrooms, officials said.
