NORTH MANKATO, Minn. — Firefighters and sheriff deputies rescued a bald eagle entangled in a fishing line on the Minnesota River Sunday morning.
The Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the eagle a little after 9 a.m. near Judson Bottom Road and across from Sibley Park. Responding deputies discovered the eagle’s left wing was caught on the line and the other end of the line was entangled in a tree limb above the river, according to a Sheriff’s Office press release.
