ORLANDO — Bald eagle sightings are extremely rare, right? Think again.
For the second time in just under two months, Florida firefighters were called to a not-so-rare scene. According to Orlando Fire Rescue, crews responded to two bald eagles trapped in the grating covering a storm drain Thursday.
Crews with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission also responded to the scene. Rescue efforts are underway.
One eagle is injured and fell into the drain. The other flew away around 6 p.m. Bald eagles, apparently, don’t follow the two in, two out rule.
