NEW YORK — A massive apartment fire in Brooklyn tore through five buildings Tuesday, displacing dozens of people and injuring 11, including a firefighter.
The New York Post reported the flames started around 10 p.m. in one building and then quickly spread to surrounding buildings. According to the FDNY, it took firefighters more than three hours to get the six-alarm fire under control.
Four people were transported to the hospital, including a firefighter with minor injuries and a civilian who was listed in serious condition. Seven other people suffered minor injuries and were treated on scene.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
