MACON, Ga. — Three Macon-Bibb County firefighters are transported to a local hospital for treatment after a semi hits their fire truck.
Chief Donnie Mercer of the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department tells NewsCentral, an 18-wheeler rear ended the emergency vehicle parked on the side of Interstate-16 just after 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Mercer says three firefighters and one other person were transported to the Medical Center of Central Georgia for treatment of injuries they received in the accident.
