PLAINVIEW, Ark. — A volunteer firefighter was killed in a single-vehicle crash July 7.
Lance Crawford, 50, was driving the tanker truck when the vehicle rolled over following a curve on the roadway, according to firefighterclosecalls.com.
The truck left the roadway while entering the curve, swerved back onto the road and rolled over three times before leaving the road again.
The tanker was being driven during the Plainview Fire Department’s weekly drill and meeting.
Crawford was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army, an Iraq Operation Enduring Freedom Veteran, a cancer survivor and a member of the 206th Field Artillery, according to River Valley Leader.
