HANCOCK COUNTY, Miss. — No injuries were reported Monday afternoon when a fire truck overturned on I-10 near mile marker 11 in Hancock County.
Two Bayside Fire Department firefighters were westbound on I-10 responding to a one-vehicle accident around 1:50 p.m. when traffic came to a sudden stop.
The fire truck veered to the right to avoid hitting another vehicle and overturned, Mississippi Highway Patrol Cpl. Jason Gazzo said.
Gazzo said one lane of traffic was moving by 2:40 p.m. Monday, and troopers were working to clear the scene of the accident.
Two firefighters were in the truck, but no one was injured.
