SAN FRANCISCO — A firefighter was injured after falling from a ladder truck while battling a four-alarm fire.
KTVU reported that the San Francisco Fire Department firefighter was helping to mop up the blaze that tore through an apartment building when he slipped off the roof of a ladder truck and fell to the pavement below, according to a battalion chief.
The battalion chief said the firefighter was transported to the hospital, but is expected to be OK and that he was responsive during the transport.
More than 100 firefighters battled the fire, which broke out in the middle of St. Patrick’s Day festivities. The businesses in the building below the apartments were all affected by the blaze.
