ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A Pinellas County sheriff’s deputy and an off-duty St. Petersburg firefighter were injured in a car crash Wednesday night, the sheriff’s officer reported.
The crash occurred around 9:45 p.m. at 5th Avenue and 58th Street south.
Deputy Robert Brown Jr., 39, was responding to a fight call at Boca Ciega H.S. and was traveling in his marked cruiser when he was struck by firefighter Michael Blank, 44, who was driving a Chevy Blazer, deputies said.
