BOCA RATON, Fla. — A man was arrested Monday after he threw a large rock at a fire department ambulance and told police he wanted to kill firefighters.

Mark Chantiloupe said he wanted to kill firefighters because of their constant harassment and that sirens from emergency vehicles “set him off,” reported Palm Beach Post.

Chantiloupe is facing a charge of firing a missile into a vehicle. An arrest report said he threw a water bottle earlier at a Boca Raton Rescue truck.

As paramedics were about to give police Chantiloupe’s location earlier in the day, the man picked up a rock and flung it at the ambulance. Crews accelerated the vehicle to avoid being hit by the rock.

Upon his arrest, Chantiloupe also told police that if he “if he had a gun, he would kill the firefighters.”
