SHREVEPORT, La. — Shreveport fire investigators are looking into four possible arsons within a mile of each other in four days.
The first fire on Saturday occurred in an abandoned apartment building in Shreveport, according to the Shreveport Times.
While firefighters were working to protect structures near the partially collapsed building, another fire was reported: A burning mattress in an apartment, which was extinguished with little damage.
On Sunday, at least four trash piles were burning inside a building a short distance away from the first two fires. A fire Monday was also caused by burning trash, according to the article.
Shreveport Fire Chief Scott Wolverton said the two Saturday fires could be connected and all four fires are believed to be arson.
