BUCKS COUNTY, Pa. — Last Christmas Day, Trevose Fire Chief Ron Doster sent six volunteer firefighters into an inferno where a 70-year-old man was believed trapped.

What Doster didn’t know until later was that his two sons were among them. The Doster brothers and a third firefighter managed to find the man and pull him out within three minutes.

Two days after the Lower Southampton fire, four Bristol firefighters entered a burning home on Pond Street where another 70-year-old man was believed trapped. Like the Lower Southampton firefighters, they also saved the man.
