OLNEY, Ill. — A woman and her two nieces whose bodies were found in a camper in southeastern Illinois died of apparent carbon monoxide.
Richland County Coroner Randy Kistler says he believes the three Olney residents died late Monday or early Tuesday, hours before their bodies were found by a relative who went to the rural family-owned camping area to check on them.
Kistler says his office and law enforcement authorities are checking the camper’s generator to determine if it caused the carbon monoxide poisoning. He says foul play isn’t suspected.
Kistler identified the victims as 56-year-old Nadine Zwilling, 19-year-old Kelsey Ginder and 19-year-old Janel Ginder.
