WASHINGTON, D.C. — According to a release by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, some commercial boilers produced by Weil-McLain Co. are unsafe. The company voluntarily recalled 171 boilers after it discovered that the units were not properly sealed and could release carbon monoxide and exhaust into the air. Carbon Monoxide is a toxic odorless, colorless gas that, if inhaled, could result in death.
Weil-McLain has notified its customers of the recall and is providing repair services free of charge.
