DUXBURY, Mass. — Carbon monoxide overcame a Duxbury couple today and sent five firefighters who rescued them to the hospital with symptoms of monoxide poisoning.
Judith Goodman, 65, of 282 Church St., called 911 shortly after 4 a.m. and said her husband, Donald, was unconscious.
When firefighters arrived, Judith Goodman was semiconscious on the first floor. Her husband was unconscious in a second-floor bedroom, but began to revive when firefighters carried him outside.
