LAS VEGAS — Firefighters battling a blaze inside a commercial building early today pulled out before the roof collapsed, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

Nobody was injured, officials said.

A crew returning from another call stumbled upon the fire about 3:20 a.m. at a two-story building in the 4700 block of Sandhill Road, officials said.

Crews pulled hose lines and went inside the building, with fire on both floors and in the attic, official said. Firefighters later evacuated from inside due to the building’s compromised structural integrity, officials said.

The roof began to fail and collapsed in multiple places, officials said.

Most of the fire was extinguished this morning, with crews conducting overhaul operations and extinguishing small fires throughout the building, officials said.

Neither the cause of the fire nor a damage estimate had been determined, officials said.
