WARREN, Ohio — An Ohio fire lieutenant has died due to COVID-19 complications.
Warren Fire Department Lt. Don Beauchene, 54, who served for more than 25 years with the department, was diagnosed with COVID-19 on Nov. 10 and placed on a ventilator about four days later, according to WFMJ. He died Tuesday, one week after his diagnosis.
Beauchene is survived by his wife Michelle and their 11 children. He is remembered for a dedicated life of service, volunteering for charities, going to New York to assist after 9/11 and to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.
