Former firefighter found guilty on child pornography charges

SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. — A former firefighter was convicted of federal child pornography charges.

WEARTV.com reported that Danny Murphy, 37, was found guilty of conspiracy, receipt of child pornography and possession of child pornography involving a minor under the age of 12.

Prosecutors said Murphy shared child porn images and videos via the instant messaging app Kik.

Three months of online communications by Murphy were reviewed during the trial, including images and a video of sex acts involving a 3-year-old.

Murphy faces a minimum of five years and a maximum of 20 years in prison.
