SAN ANTONIO — A firefighter was suspended after being arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.

Anthony Salazar, an eight-year veteran of the San Antonio Fire Department, has received a 60-day suspension. KSAT reported that the firefighter was found “slumped over” in a running vehicle in a gas station parking lot.

Police said Salazar admitted to having “four or five 12-ounce beers” when they spoke to him.

His court hearing is set for Aug. 8.
