HOUSTON — A firefighter has been reassigned after threatening to harm Hispanic teens after a vehicle break-in on his personal Facebook page.

ABC13 reported that the post was the result of a truck break-in early Tuesday morning at the fire captain’s home. Five hours after the burglary, the fire captain shared his anger publicly on Facebook. The post first addressed all parents of Hispanic male teenagers in his subdivision, threatening to make them “deceased” if he finds them, according to the report.

It then goes on to say parents who don’t know where their kids are “must suffer the consequences of burying their child, needlessly.” It ends by saying that “hands up, don’t shoot (expletive) doesn’t work” with him, driving the point home that he’s furious, according to the report.

This isn’t the first offensive Facebook post written by Houston firefighters. In June, an EMT referred to a drowning victim as a “drunk Mexican.” In September, a 24-year veteran posted an image of Islam on his Facebook page along with profanity.

The latest post has been removed from the fire captain’s Facebook page. He has been reassigned to an administrative position pending the outcome of an investigation, according to the report.
