BEVERLY, Mass. — An off-duty firefighter died Sunday after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle.
CBS Boston reported that firefighter Dan Pimenta was riding down the street when a Jeep hit him. He was transported to the hospital, where he later died.
According to the Peabody Firefighters Union, Pimenta was an avid bicyclist and raised money for the MS Society.
He leaves behind his wife and two children.
