MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The widow of a fallen New Orleans firefighter who was shot outside of a Memphis nightclub is seeking answers in his death.
WMC Action News reported that Dominique Howard’s husband Gregory was fatally shot as an innocent bystander in a shooting outside of Mynt Lounge last month.
Howard is now traveling to Memphis after no arrests have been made in nearly a month.
“Maybe somebody will say anything that can help [find] any leads in the case, so that the person that did this can be prosecuted for it,” Howard said. “I mean, this is somebody that I spent the last 18 years of my life with, and because he was such a hands-on father, it’s hard for them, especially my 10-year-old.”
Investigators looked at surveillance footage to try and identify suspects, but there have been no updates since.
“I just want somebody to have that same kind of impact so that justice can be sought for my husband, because he didn’t deserve to die like that,” Howard said.
